I Love Tofu

This story on CNN caught my eye today, since I have been a vegetarian for almost a decade now.  Watch the video, as it is quite amusing!  A woman's love for tofu got her into so much trouble with the DMV that they banned the license plate that she had requested.  Personally, when I see people eating meat that is a lot more offensive than what people could perceive her desired license plate to mean.  But, that is all I will say on that matter since I despise people who proselytize their beliefs.  If anyone is interested in my beliefs send me an email with your questions.

While we are on the topic of vegetarianism, I have to recommend a book that I just finished reading (I know, I am so behind the times).  Said book is Skinny Bitch and I devoured it in one night.

What I love about it is that it is not a diet, it is a lifestyle, and a simple one at that.  Diets never, ever work!  But, the women that wrote it are proud vegans and they have a no-nonsense way of writing that really motivates you to change.  I am proud to say that I have been living my life the way they advocate living for a very long time.  So, I did not actually learn anything new by reading the book per se, however I thought they did a brilliant job of explaining an incredibly healthy way to not only lose weight, but to keep it off for good.

I read this book last year, it is quite intense and eye-opening. Really liked it. I have not given up meat completely, but I think about it more.

I have been looking at this book for months and never picked it up. Reading your post is obviously a sign. I am picking it up tomorrow.
