My Barefoot Belizean Adventure Day 4

Adrienne and I were in despair while eating our last breakfast in paradise.  We desperately wanted a couple of more days, but we knew our time was up.  Our waitress surprised us with a little bit of gossip; the resort we were staying at was going bankrupt and would soon be closing.  She encouraged us to take a picture in front of the resort's sign, since it would be out last chance ever.  Here is said picture.

It really is a tragedy that because of the world's economic state this resort will no longer exist.  It is such a gem (despite the whole Blue Hole fiasco)!

This was my parting shot of Journey's End...

We checked out, said our goodbyes to our little peaceful haven, and boarded our taxi ferry back to San Pedro.  I wanted to jump into the water and swim back.

A view of our taxi ferry in some of the most majestic water.

This picture makes YOU want to jump in the water too, right?

I was excited for our short flight back to Belize City.  This time our plane was much larger than the previous one.  It fit around 12 people.  I know I sound repetitive, but the views of the Belize Great Barrier Reef were simply stunning and most likely some of the best views found throughout the world.

We had good and bad news at the airport.  The good was that we got bumped up to 1st class again and the bad was that customs confiscated our beloved conch shells.  Nonetheless, it was a gorgeous trip and Adrienne and I created memories to last a lifetime.  Now we turn our focus to Nicaragua--Central America Round 2!!!
