My Marilyn Monroe Moment
A couple of weekends ago, me and 2 of my girlfriends decided to hold a photo shoot in my home. The woman behind the camera was Maggie Qiu. She is a self-taught photographer that has just broken into the photography world. She was looking to build her portfolio and somehow she thought me photogenic enough to shoot. She said that I had a Marilyn Monroe quality about me and wanted to gear the shoot towards that inspiration.
Behind every photo shoot, is a genius makeup artist and how lucky am I to be living with one!? Adrienne Wei is a master with colors and faces are her canvases. Her signature are the eyes. Before every special event, I always have her do mine.
I knew in order to do Marilyn proud I was going to have channel her through wearing Chanel parfum and drinking pink champagne.
We started with a very simple face and then added props. After warming up with that, we did heavier makeup and the poses were a bit more sexy. Here are some of the best shots from the day. I do hope you enjoy!
