Lucky Lucky girl! Some things just work out and glad they did for you. Wish I could say the same about my departure out of Cuba as well but I had the worse experience ever when leaving and it kind of left a bad taste in my mouth over it.

I agree, the food was super bad in Cuba. I just thought that was because I was staying at all inclusive resorts and that I was being picky... but even the people I was traveling with said the same thing. It lacks a lot of love and maybe because they can't get the right products because of the embargo or something.

you paid $70 for a box of cigars... man those ladies really did scam you guys. So did you get the cigars back in the US?

I heard if cigars don't have a label on them that US Immigration will assume their Cubans and take them.

I love Antigua. The jacaranda trees on the square are so lovely. It's one of the best kept secrets out there. Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

Gorgeous photos - as usual - I will be visiting Guatemala for a day in December as part of my cruise. When I lived in Panama we visited there a couple of times, I remember the food was great!

I love Guatemala! My mom used to live there, so going with her and my dad back when I was 13 was pretty special, since they knew the ins and outs of Antigua and had friends all over. My godmother just sold her house there, and I'm sad I couldn't go once more, but I'm sure I'll be back in the future even if I have to stay in a hotel rather than her gorgeous house.

It is so true you have to be Zen-like at times while traveling. Your photos are so beautiful, Antigua is wonderful. I wish I could have seen a procession while I was there.
